New Categories of Membership

As defined in the Objects and Rules of the Association
adopted February 2008:

MASTER CLINICIAN
That he or she is a clinical member in good standing who has demonstrated their clinical skills as determined by the Management Committee.
Members at this level of membership can also apply to become registered clinical supervisors.

CLINICAL
That he or she has met the Association's documented training requirements through tertiary and/or other training and clinical experience as determined by the Management Committee.

ASSOCIATE
That he or she has met the Association's documented training requirements through tertiary and/or other training and is working towards clinical membership. Evidence of these qualifications, specialised training and clinical practice in relationship counselling is to be provided as designated by the Management Committee. This category is open for an individual subject to review at the end of five (5) years and at such further periods as the Management Committee shall decide.

STUDENT
That he or she is a student in training to become an associate or clinical member. This category is open for an individual subject to review at the end of five (5) years and at such further periods as the Management Committee shall decide.

AFFILIATE
That he or she having been a member has retired from active work and wishes to retain membership of the Association and the Management Committee having investigated the circumstances, has agreed to this.
