PsychOz: Calendar of EventsUniversity of Queensland Research As part of research being conducted by the University of Queensland, we are seeking the assistance of some Australian Association of Relationship Counsellors members through the completion of a questionnaire. This study aims to inform current understandings of the acceptability of existing parenting interventions for parents from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) or culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Participants should be practitioners whose work involves parent consultation about child social, emotional or behavioural problems. Some of the parents who seek their assistance must be of ATSI and/or CALD backgrounds. Practitioners can work in any number of positions but must not have trained in Triple P: Positive Parenting Program. The survey can be completed online at http://experiment.psy.uq.edu.au/practitioner/ or via paper copy if preferred. I would appreciate you distributing this information to your members and encouraging them to complete this survey. That would be very helpful for our research and for program delivery in the field. Potential participants can contact me at s4079279@student.uq.edu.au for further information or to receive a paper copy of the survey. Thanks, Jennifer O'Brien |
